The 2012 Red Sox roster features many familiar faces. But with the retirement of captain Jason Varitek and knuckleballer Tim Wakefield, there’s plenty of new faces to learn as well.
The Sox begin the season today at 1:05 ET in Detroit. Jon Lester will face off against reigning American League MVP & Cy Young Award winner Justin Verlander.
