YAY!!! Finally the Christmas music has started! :D So pumped! Christmas has officially started. I’m actually going to miss reading everyone’s comments about how aggrivated they were that the music hasn’t started yet :P I know that I’m not the only one who loves Christmas really early. People like you guys make the world a happier, more joyful place to be. Guess I’ll hear from you all next year ;) Merry Christmas!

November 18, 2010 3:14 pm

Oh I wish that holiday music would wait till mid-December — by the time Christmas rolls around I’m so fed up with only carols. I mean, jsut how many different renditions of the same song can there be? Plus, believe it or not, not everyone celebrates Christmas!

Guess I’ll just have to be sure that I have enough CDs in the car to listen to instead.

Thank you for starting your Christmas music!! Me & my boys look so foward to when you start playing holiday music! Some people look at it as rushing the holidays…we look at it as cheerful music that puts us in a giving & uplifting mood! My boys birthdays are around Christms so if anyone would be disgruntled with Christmas over-shadowing something, it would be them but they love it! And no I do not spoil my kids, we are very giving. To us, Christmas music signifies a fun & joyous time of year, including Thanksgiving. Thank you!

Tom

Thanks, WODS. 8:22 this morning started it off with Felice Navidad. I guess our Christmas music support group must now come to an end. Merry Christmas to all!

Awww Tom…that’s so sad! But you’re right – now that we have what we want we no longer need to come here and beg WODS to start! I’m almost going to miss it:) Merry Christmas everyone – enjoy the music. And THANK YOU WODS for finally starting it. Better late than never :)

      Tom
      November 18, 2010 2:00 pm

HAHA, Debbie! I got that “support group” from you back on Nov. 1st. It’s been fun; I’ll miss it too. Enjoy the holidays!

November 16, 2010 1:24 pm

I personally have been looking forward to the Christmas music starting for the past week or so, but I would imagine 103.3 has thier reasons for why they haven’t started it yet. Withing the next few days it will probably start and we can enjoy it while we have it. Relax everyone & have a wonderful holiday season :)

Kelly
November 16, 2010 11:28 am

Maybe they are starting late becuase they are going to play Christmas music past Christmas day?

RedMenace
November 16, 2010 11:19 am

Ok, let me understand, the economy is in the sewer, people are feeling down, AND you’re electing not to play Christmas music. Because, why, it’s gonna make people feel better?? Can’t have that.

kate
November 16, 2010 9:43 am

Seriously, the only word I have is disapointed. What a let down. I think its so great that people get excited and look forward to this. It helps put a smile on people’s faces, what is so wrong with that? If the station is waiting for “the holiday spirit”, they definitely had it but now are creating just the opposite. It was fun in the beginning to wait for the cue but now it is too disapointing. Come on WODS, give us the joy we wait all year for!

    Anne
    November 16, 2010 10:14 am

I so agree Kate. I’m beyond disappointed. Why such a late start when clearly there are a lot of us who would like the Christmas music to hvae started LAST week. But why not this week? This is getting silly – especially when there IS a channel playing it already. WODS – you have lost a loyal listener….I’m going to where the Chrismas music is being heard.

    John Killilea
    November 16, 2010 10:44 am

Now we’re only going to get 5 weeks at most of Xmas music if we’re lucky. What’s this wekkend’s feature with the music; Wolfman’s greatest hits?? LOL

Wow! Another day without Christmas music so disapointing…the station must have caved in to the Bah Humbuggers!!!!!

Megan
November 15, 2010 6:44 pm

Is there going to be any Christmas music at all this year? . . . I’m starting to get a little sad I havn’t heard any jingle bells yet. .

Rich
November 15, 2010 6:21 pm

Still waiting !!!!!!!!

Kevin
November 15, 2010 6:02 pm

Like I said early on. They will most likely start after the ho ho dough contest. It floors me that they are waiting so long this year. The proper way to push them is that everyone should write to their parent company which I think is CBS in New York and complain. Sometimes people need a push.

Jesse
November 15, 2010 5:42 pm

I agree with the other comments, I was really dissapointed not to hear the Christmas music last week but I was extremly dissapointed not to hear it today. It hasn’t started this late in a couple yeears now and i don’t get why you are delaying it so late this year. Christmas comes once a year and it’s a short time when it does, it goes by so fast, so can’t you just play christmas music for a month and half, that’s all were asking for! Clearly the majority of people want it to start, so im begging you, please start it, it will make everyone happy and joyful!! If it isn’t on tomorrow i will be so dissapointed.

Mandy
November 15, 2010 3:44 pm

I agree with the other comments. I’m very disappointed this year. I never expected the music to start November 1st or even that 1st week. I didn’t even really expect it last week but really thought it would have been Friday. Then when it didn’t start on Friday, I thought it has to be Monday. To still have nothing? Wow. I guess all the bah-humbuggers really put the pressure on and succeeded. Very, very disappointed this year.

    Rick
    November 15, 2010 7:24 pm

Wow, I can’t believe they haven’t started playing the Christmas Music. Its the only time I play music in my office and I’m growing quite impatient!

Tom
November 13, 2010 9:02 am

Sooooooo, my predictions of November 10th or 12th have gone by the boards. That leaves us with five possible days next week since the Christmas music just has to start then. I’m now going with Monday the 15th. The WODS Program Director (Jay Beau Jones, I think is his name) was on Fox 25 news last night to promote the upcoming Christmas music and said how the start date is always secret and they were waiting for the right time to start based on what the listeners want. Well, based on all these comments, it’s got to be time to start plus TV commercials and store decorations are in full swing. Christmas trees are going up in Rockefeller Center and downtown Boston and there is a little competition for listeners this year with the RI station already playing Christmas music and coming in pretty clear in the Boston area.
So, I’m thinking Monday unless they hold out until Ho Ho Dough ends Friday, the 19th. They could play Santa Claus is Coming to Town to start Friday morning and then just keep the Christmas music going. Maybe, but that still seems a little late.
What do you say Jay Beau? Monday, the 15th?

Ben
November 13, 2010 7:04 am

Maybe they will on Xmas Day!

Mandy
November 12, 2010 10:16 pm

Really disappointed that the Christmas music hasn’t started yet. I was really hoping it would have started by now. What a letdown.

dude
November 12, 2010 9:10 pm

I just heard Good Vibrations by The Beach Boys. For some reason, most of their songs sound like Christmas music when you are going between stations. It got me excited for a moment. Start soon. I think they will start Friday the 19th because that is when the contest ends.

    Matt
    November 12, 2010 10:27 pm

I heard the song Snoopy vs The Red Baron one night, and I got very excited, but it wasn’t the Christmas version. If WODS doesn’t start the music on Monday I will be very surprised/upset… they started on Friday the 13th last year and it’s Friday the 12th today, I was surprised and upset to wake up this morning and not hear the Christmas music.

    John Killilea
    November 12, 2010 10:59 pm

I hope it starts soon, we need to get into the proper holiday mood.

Marcy
November 12, 2010 8:07 pm

Aw how disapointing I was hoping to come from work this afternoon and hearing the Christmas music playing I am starting to wonder if wods is going to even do it this year but I am with the majority on here start the Christmas music I am dying to hear it and it puts me in the mood to start decorating for the holidays :)

John Killilea
November 12, 2010 6:18 pm

Every day they don’t start the music is a day closer to it being over, so I hope it starts soon!!!!!

Jim
November 12, 2010 3:50 pm

Still NO Christmas music…. Very disappointing.

Debbie
November 12, 2010 2:14 pm

I came to the website looking to find out when the music is starting! I listen to your station BECAUSE of the Christmas music. I’ll be tuning in on Monday! The holidays come and go in such a blur – I appreciate the additional time and opportunity to savor the season.

    Jeff
    November 12, 2010 12:36 am

I really do have a good feeling it will start on 11/12/10. Last year it started the Friday after Veterans day so thats when I think.

      Kelly
      November 12, 2010 11:15 am

What time did it start last year?

      Jeff
      November 12, 2010 5:17 pm

not sure but im pretty sure it was in the mid afternoon. Asuming they start on Monday now it will be the latest start in 4 years! Im very disappointed WODS. How came you be Bostons Holiday Music Station and have no Christmas Music! COME ON LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!

Maria
November 11, 2010 5:44 pm

It’s about time! I have been waiting since October for the Christmas music to begin! Love Love Love It! Because they just don’t make music like that anymore! And to me it represents the official start of the Holiday (all of them) Season.

lynnette
November 11, 2010 4:24 pm

i love the hoildays and i like the station is trying to people that can’t afford stuff for christmas. like for my family where are a low income family that can’t afford gifts of me , my kids they are 5 and 2. my husband is only part-time to pay all the debits that include the rent for our condo that we now. but we are ok for now my husband and i working very hard and have help this hoilday season. so again i like the station trying to help people for the hoilday seasons. thank you for your time.

Mandy
November 11, 2010 11:49 am

I’m thinking tomorrow folks. I haven’t heard any confirmation or anything like that, it’s just my guess. Last year they started on the 13th, tomorrow is the 12th but it’s also Friday. Would be kind of a nice way to kick off the weekend, don’t you think? Maybe Dominick the Donkey will start things off at 5pm or better yet, Karen and Ralphie will kick it off in the morning! :) Either way, if I was a betting person, I would put my money on tomorrow. One can hope!!

    John Killilea
    November 11, 2010 5:06 pm

I think it’ll be Monday myself though it would be a nice surprise if it started tomorrow.

Christine
November 11, 2010 10:54 am

Where is the Christmas music, I keep tuning in hoping it started.Clearly the majority of people want to hear it now. Sorry to all of you who want it to start after Thanksgiving but I need a little Christmas right this very minute.

    Nancy
    November 11, 2010 2:27 pm

I’m with you. I love cooking Thanksgiving Dinner with the Christmas music playing in the background. It drowns my curses as I’m struggling with that Gobbler. Let’s bring it on!

Lynda

Kerri
November 10, 2010 1:22 pm

Does anyone know the date the Christmas music begins?

    Lacey
    November 10, 2010 2:32 pm

Nope. The station never officially announces it – they just keep us waiting and wondering. I personally don’t get why they just can’t pick a date and announce it. I would assume they’re flooded at this point with people emailing asking “When is the Christmas music starting?” I personally hope it’s soon or I’ll be hopping over to the station that IS actually playing Xmas music now.

    Kim
    November 10, 2010 2:42 pm

Nope. It’s different every year and they always surprise us. Hopefully by the end of the week!

Peter
November 9, 2010 10:15 pm

WODS, other stations have already changed to all christmas music! It’s time to follow suit! Give in already! I like your station the best for christmas music so I’m still waiting for you despite that its playing on other stations now….
I particularly like your jingles such as “Happy Holidays! From Oldies 103!”

    Kim
    November 10, 2010 8:10 am

I like oldies the best too…every year when they have Stevie Wonder singing “One Little Christmas Tree” while hearing the voice-overs of all the children when they do the Make-A-Wish marathon always chokes me up. I love hearing Karen Blake in the morning when it’s the holiday season (love her all year, but especially around the holidays) and with the addition of Ralphie?? It’s going to be fantastic! I have my fingers crossed that they’ll do the switch over by the end of the week. Ralphie did mention this morning that “the big jolly guy” will be coming in 6 weeks, so hopefully things will get moving and we’ll be hearing some Christmas tuneage soon! :)

Matt
November 9, 2010 5:44 pm

Reading through the comments, I think a lot of people agree that you guys should start the Christmas music… you must get dozens of phone calls a day asking for it. I don’t think it’s too early, and it looks like a lot of other people here agree. I hope that you guys seriously consider playing it soon!

    Kelly
    November 9, 2010 7:50 pm

Maybe they are not doing it this year?

John Killilea
November 9, 2010 5:41 pm

Jesse

I actually love the holiday music and was disappointed it didn’t start November 1st. Listening to it throughout the day really puts me in the holiday spirit. I start looking forward to Thanksgiving and start some early shopping. Everyone is always in such a good mood once the Christmas spirit comes around, let’s take advantage of it.

Lyn
November 5, 2010 5:41 pm

WODS, I love you guys. From R.I. here and I love your station – it’s better than anything out there. Much better than the stations that play the same stuff over and over. Your weekends are so much fun. I live stream it all the time and even dance to it on occasion while I’m doing stuff at home. :) Thanks a bunch!!!

Joe
November 5, 2010 2:29 pm

I think that oldies 103.3 is a great station , they really get into the holiday season and why not? All these people who complain about xmas music starting to early give it a rest! There is so much suffering our soldiers are doing and so many people without jobs, why cant we be in a great mood for 2 months? We only celebrate xmas once a year and why do it late? its the biggest holiday of the year and I am all for starting it as early as possible, if i didnt think my neighbors would call the guys in white jackets i would put my lights up 1st of November! haha, Happ Holidays everyone and Merry Christmas to all!

    bill peterson
    November 5, 2010 4:16 pm

your right. Merry Christmas, and may it be your best ever.
I pray everyone who is without work finds one, the people who have lost their homes in the last 2years, may have a home with family and friends to celebrate the real meaning of Christmas.
and to our men and women in our U.S military, God bless you all. your in my prayers.

    WODS–> SWITCH TO XMAS MUSIC!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas Music! I have been listening to it since Monday when it started on Comcast. hahaha….anyways….Went to the mall tonight and it was so great with the Christmas music and all the decorations. Santa even wished us a Merry Christmas. hahah. When I got back in my car it was just the same old songs on the radio. :/ I think that they will start either 11/12 or 11/15. Or who knows maybe theyll surprise us tomorrow!! :)

Says who? The station hasn’t announced that yet. You said earlier that a November 1st date was “confirmed,” but it wasn’t, so where it is stated that it will be this Monday?

I’d love to hear it Monday – but I don’t believe it will happen that soon.

I personally don’t think they’ll start the Xmas music till next week either, but it wouldn’t hurt if we all dropped the program manager an e-mail saying we’d like it earlier. There’s strengths in numbers!

hey guys, love listening but when it comes to these give aways it seems eveyone on MARS is call, I’ve never been able to get through, EVER and this might be my last ditch effort to try winning something. I think I have a better chance getting stuck by lightening. LOVE the music, but please ease in the Christmas music (which I love) Thanksgiving is in weeks, I really want to enjoy that before the HOHOHO’s

I love the holiday music. It’s not about the retailers or materialism, it’s a state of mind. The music is a very nice way to think about what is important in life…….family, friends, good will etc. I wanted the music to start November 1st!

kristen
November 3, 2010 10:18 pm

You’d better start playing them soon. I wait all year for this. I agree with all of the stages that Peter mentioned. The start of the christmas songs on the radio marks the beginning of the whole christmas season! It’s here! Just embrace it and let us enjoy the season as long as possible!

Kevin D
November 3, 2010 1:21 pm

I do not mind early start dates but I cannot stand the fact that everyone stops playing Christmas Music on the 25th! We leave our decorations up through at least New Years, and the TRUE Christmas Season does not actually start (in terms of religious holiday calendars) until December 25th and then runs 12 days, that’s where the song the 12 days of Christmas originates! Wednesday, January 5th would be the last day of Christmas Season – but I’d settle for New Years EVE!!! Keep playing from now until December 31st!

November 2, 2010 5:26 pm

Here are the stages of the holiday season (break down):

mid-October to Halloween: Pre-season (anticipation of the season ahead, looking forward to the songs coming on)

November 1-start date of Holiday music: Checking Period (checking the radio every day to see if the holiday music is playing, suspense building)

Start Date-Thanksgiving: Pre-Thanksgiving (enjoying the music, thankful that the music is playing, excitement for Thanksgiving building)

Thanksgiving-Christmas Eve: Deep Season (still enjoying the music, Christmas shopping to the holiday music, setting up of christmas tree, outdoor lights)

    Peter
    November 2, 2010 5:32 pm

Clarification: The actual Holiday SEASON does not begin until the holiday music starts on the radio. The stages before the start date are not part of the Christmas/Holiday season.

      Kim
      November 3, 2010 7:15 am

I’d also like to add that I wouldn’t mind hearing Christmas music up until they do the New Year’s Eve countdown. Doesn’t have to be 24/7, but even just throwing a song in every half hour or so just to ease out of the holiday season. There’s nothing I hate more than stations coming to an abrupt stop with the Christmas music at 6pm December 25th. Oldies I know last year played all through the night until around 5am on December 26th. It’s just such a huge let-down to stop instantly, rather I think it would be better to kind of ease out of it. After all, it is called “The 12 Days of Christmas”! :)

      Jeff
      November 4, 2010 9:07 pm

Tom
November 2, 2010 9:52 am

Excellent point, Kevin with the ad book ratings beginning on November 11th. Now I’m wondering if the start date will be November 10th which will allow for people to spread the word the Christmas music has begun and to get the mention on TV news the night before the ratings period begins. I’m also wondering if this current contest has taken the place of the teasers played in the past (jingle bells, holiday music coming soon, Clark Griswold lines etc.) or whether that will be coming.
Anyway, good stuff.

    Kelly
    November 2, 2010 8:41 am

I always try to catch it when they kick it off, but never know when they are going to start so I miss it. Do they make a big announcement or do they just switch the music?

      John Killilea
      November 2, 2010 9:46 am

They did a tease last year using the Little saint Nick song by the Beach Boys and then they said “Uh-uh, not quite yet.”Just wake up every day and if you hear the Beatles at 6 am or Donna summer it hasn’t happened yet. LOL

    November 4, 2010 9:03 pm

hahah. Lets just say I’m too young to listen to WODS constantly because I dont like any of the music. But the past week everytime I get into my car I check 103.3!

Kevin
November 1, 2010 6:36 pm

Ok so this is how we can figure the start day out. If you look at the cue numbers for WODS for November 2009 they had a huge huge bump for November leading into the holiday book. This year the November ratings period begins on November 11th. So if they follow the ratings cue based on last year they should start on November 11th by the way the ratings period begins at 6am.
As you all know money drives all and ratings drive ad pricing so they should follow the money and start on the 11th if they are like most companies.

Peter

November 1, 2010 3:08 pm

I think last year the reason the music started on the 13th was because of the Song scramble contest, the last one took about two weeks or so to get it and then three hours after the person won, they switched to Xmas music, that was 12 noon on a Friday. So maybe it could happen at noon on Friday again since they usually start the 70s weekend at noon Fridays, or next week. I guess we’re all looking forward to the Xmas music, 66 posts and counting, huh?? LOL

For anyone who has Comcast On Demand, they’re playing Christmas music now on Songs of the Seasons channel. It’s Chanell 433 where I am (southern NH). I’ll listen to that until the radio stations start.

Tom
November 1, 2010 9:51 am

Here’s the history on starting dates:
2003 – Monday 11/24
2004 – Friday 11/19
2005 – Thursday 11/17
2006 – Wednesday 11/15
2007 – Monday 11/05
2008 – Thursday 11/06
2009 – Friday 11/13
There must have been complaints about early start dates in 2007 and 2008 which caused 2009 to go back toward the middle of the month. So, this week seems too early to start. Good point that the promotion ends 11/19 but that seems a little too late. I’m betting Friday, November 12 will be the day and they’ll play Santa Claus is Coming to Town only once each day that first week. You think I’m spending a little too much time analyzing this!

    Debbie
    November 1, 2010 12:55 pm

    Thanks Tom!

    November 1, 2010 3:23 pm

I am going to say that 11/2/10 is the date that they are going to start the christmas music u to

    Kevin
    November 1, 2010 6:01 pm

Tom I agree with you and in fact they read the rules for the contest today on air and they have now widdled the list of valid Santa claus is coming to town down to a small list of versions. This will allow them the leeway to start before the 19th and still play that song without going broke.

    dude
    November 15, 2010 3:36 pm

how did you find the starting dates? did you write them down since 2003?

Debbie
November 1, 2010 9:23 am

This thread is like a support group – I’m SO glad to know I’m not the only one who likes Christmas music in November. I’ve actually been known to pop a Xmas CD in my car as early as the beginning of October. My kids give me the “Mom?! It’s not even Halloween yet!”, but I don’t care. It makes me happy.

Maybe WODS could put up a poll for its listeners to give their input as to when they would like the music to start?

October 31, 2010 10:19 pm

I would absolutely LOVE for Christmas music to start Monday!!! I am not a regular oldies listener but I tune in every year when they switch over and say the earlier the better! I know for a fact that there are many, many people who do not regularly listen to Oldies that tune in just for the holiday music each year. I REALLY REALLY hope they start on Monday, 11/1. Kristina, where did you hear that they definitely will?
Sadly, I think those of you who think they won’t start until after the promotion are right…although in my opinion, 11/19 is WAY to late! I will lose respect for my favorite holiday music station if they wait until then.

For all you people opposing Xmas music- you get 10 months of non-xmas music so now it’s our turn!

103.3 WODS staff- Please make the switch ASAP! You will have many more listeners and you will be the first to get Massachusetts in the holiday spirit! Don’t let us down!

October 30, 2010 3:36 pm

So lets see the HoHO Dough contest ends on the 19th of November. While I would like the music to start on the 1st my guess would be that they will start either on or after the 19th. Or when ROR starts which ever comes first. Think about it there are a lot of version of Santa Claus is coming to town and if they started before the 19th they would only be able to play that song once between 7AM and 7PM. not likely they would omit that song for 12 hours per day. Hey if they surprise us so be it but every year I think they are going to start early and they keep pushing it later.

    Mandy
    October 31, 2010 4:42 pm

Kevin, I think you’re right. I can’t imagine that they will start tomorrow. I would love them to start tomorrow too but you’re right that they have been pushing it later and later. I don’t get when people say they’re starting earlier and earlier because that is not the case. Yes, it’s always before Thanksgiving but NEVER as early as the 1st. Who knows…maybe they’ll surprise us, but I’m not counting on the Christmas music starting tomorrow at all. But I definitely am looking forward to hearing it when they finally do start!

I am with you… I LOVE that 103 starts playing Christmas music in Early November. Has Monday been confirmed?

      Lacey
      October 29, 2010 2:24 pm

Not that I can see anywhere. Seems like they just pick a date out of the air and start the Christmas music – it’s generally different any year. I’ve emailed in years past to find out when it will start and it seems no one ever knows for sure….until it happens. WROR does the same thing with the Xmas music. Don’t know what the big secret is…..just let us know?! :)

      Kim
      October 29, 2010 2:46 pm

To my knowledge, Monday hasn’t been confirmed. But I could be wrong. I don’t think they’ve ever started on November 1st. I remember them usually starting around Veteran’s Day and one year they did it around the 5th or 6th, but I think there were tons of complaints about that, so it felt like last year they started even later than usual. I’ll be thrilled to hear it on Monday, but I doubt they’ll start that early. Maybe in another week or 2 they will? I think they usually like to surprise us…..

I live in Manchester NH, I started listening to your station about 3 years ago because you play Christmas music so early! I think its wonderful, and my children were just asking if they would start playing it again next week? It is such a wonderful time of the year, everyone is always happier not to mention more kind and thoughtful to our fellow man. I think its great to play the music early…it extends the holiday season so theres more to enjoy!

They will not start the Christmas music until around November 11th. If you remember last year they started it on the 13th around 10:45 am. I do not know why they move the start around but my guess is they will not start until we hear the teaser and after they finish this money contest.

Hi Kristina, If you are tired of the Oldies right now then I suggest you go listen to Country or some Classick Rock Station until the Holiday music starts – and don’t be so stingy. You want to listen to the Oldies station for the $$ but not enjoy the Oldies music. Sad.

It’s never too early. It gets people more cheerful. The earlier the better. It makes people feel good. There is nothing wrong with holiday music this early. I for one will be a listener!! Bring on the holidays!! :D

I agree. I don’t mind hearing Christmas music early. If people don’t like it, they can simply change the channel. But I’ll be tuning in. :)

Me too. How can you not like it?

And I completely agree Kim. If you don’t like it, don’t listen. It’s that simple. Just like if you don’t like the program on TV, you change the channel. Or if you don’t like the specials at the restaurant, you order something else. Why are people so selfish? If you can’t enjoy it, know that someone else IS enjoying it…isn’t that enough? For me it certainly is. There are a lot of things I don’t like, but I don’t expect people to cater to me.

      Merry Christmas Everyone!! :)

I agree! I love the Holiday music and it is only for a short amount of time each year! I enjoy it and will be listening non stop! We wake up to it, listen to it all day at work as well as on the way home and during our evening dinners! Just enjoy the excitement and your family. For goodness sakes, it only comes once a year!!! Happy Holidays

Nice that the station wants to help out people during the holidays but isn’t this just a bit too early? It seems that each year you begin the holiday music earlier & earlier. Why must we rush everything? To be honest if you start playing the holiday music all the time and it is before Thanksgiving, I will not lsiten. I am not a Scrooge but it seems that we as a society are rushing through and there is no need for Christmas to start in September as the retailers wish.

Me too! Let’s enjoy Thanksgiving first! Plus, when they flip over to all-holiday music it affects their entire schedule, pre-empting their weekend specialty shows (The Lost 45s, Casey Kasem’s American Top 40: The 70s, The Wolfman Jack Show, etc.) which I always look forward to listening to while I’m working at my 3rd shift job.
